Hot-dip galvanising describes how we dip our high grade steel into a vat of molten zinc at around 860 °F (460 °C) to BS EN ISO 1461:2009 standards.  The zinc fuses to the steel, coating it and creating an incredibly tough, non rusting surface.  The steel becomes a dull, silvery grey in colour and can be left like this or painted.  More on painting here…
